A total of four matches were played on the sixth day of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2020. After these match results, three Asian teams have qualified for the Super League quarter-finals of this tournament.
Sri Lanka U19 vs New Zealand U19 had a thriller game

The Group A encounter between Sri Lanka and New Zealand had a thriller contest where the New Zealand youths dramatically won the match. After deciding to field first, New Zealand restricted the Sri Lankan lads for 242/9 (50 overs). While Sri Lanka’s early batsmen were losing their wickets at regular intervals, Ahan Wickramasinghe (64) and Sonal Dinusha (46) scored the crucial runs at the late moment of that innings.
After losing their first two wickets quickly, New Zealand U19 were chasing the target smoothly. But at the late moment, their batting faced massive collapse which turned that game into the thrilling position. While once they were batting on 217/3, they suddenly went down to 229/7. In the final over, they had to score 12 runs with three wickets in hands. They needed to score six runs in the final two balls, and Kristian Clarke secured the victory for New Zealand U19 with a sixer on the fifth ball of that over. Opener Rhys Mariu (86), Beckham Wheeler-Greenall (80) and captain Jesse Tashkoff (30) scored good runs in that game.
India U19 and Japan U19 are also in this same group. After New Zealand youths beat Sri Lankan colts, the Indian team have secured their spot in the Super League quarter-finals of this tournament.
Pakistan U19 beat Zimbabwe U19

In this Group C contest, Zimbabwe U19 captain Dion Myers won the toss and decided to field first. With the help of three fifties by Fahad Munir (53), Qasim Akram (54) and Mohammad Haris (81), Pakistan U19 managed to score 294/9 (50 overs).
Zimbabwe started to reply that good target strongly as they were once batting on 186/2. However, due to the speeding up in the required run-rate, Zimbabwe lost their control in that game and were bundled out for 256 runs (46.3 overs). Opener Wesley Madhever (53) and the no.3-batsman Milton Shumba (58) scored the fifties in that innings.
Among the Pakistan bowlers, Tahir Hussain (3/42) and Abbas Afridi (3/55) both took three wickets each in that innings. After this victory, Bangladesh and Pakistan both qualified from this group for the Super League quarter-finals of this tournament. Scotland U19 are the other sides in this group.
The hosts got a giant victory

South Africa U19, the hosts batted first in Group D clash against Canada U19. Captain Bryce Parsons (121) scored a century while Tyrese Karelse (60) and the opening batsman Jonathan Bird (54) scored the 50s. The Proteas skipped played the 121 runs knock in 91 deliveries (15 fours and 3 sixes). Their batting helped South Africa U19 to score 349/8 in 50 overs. Though Canada medium-pacer Akhil Kumar (4/56) took four wickets, most of the other bowlers failed to control here.
Chasing down that big target, Canada were bundled out for just 199 runs as the hosts won by 150 runs. Only the wicketkeeper-batsman Benjamin Calitz (62*) showcased some solid batting performance in that innings.
Afghanistan U19 thrashed UAE U19

There was another Group D match between Afghanistan U19 and UAE U19 where Afghanistan thrashed the UAE by 160 runs. Ibrahim Zadran (87) and Rahmanullah (81) helped the Afghan youths to build up the first innings total of 265/6 (50 overs).
In reply, the UAE youths were bundled out for just 105 runs (32.4 overs) while they were once batting on 61/0. Shafiqullah Ghafari (5/23) took five wickets while Noor Ahmad bagged three wickets (3/30) in that innings.
