Former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes has revealed his favourite fielders in international cricket. Among them, two are Indians.
Rhodes was one of the greatest fielders in Int’l cricket history. During his cricketing career, he was one of the favourite cricketers among the world cricket fans. He served South Africa between 1992 and 2003. The star cricketer played 52 Tests and 245 ODIs for the Proteas.
After his retirement as a player, Rhodes has been involved in coaching and commentating stint. Apart from coaching South Africa and Kenya national cricket teams, he also served as the fielding coach of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Mumbai Indians (MI).
At present, he is the fielding coach of another IPL team (KXIP).

Recently, on Twitter, a fan asked Rhodes about the name of his favourite fielders. In reply, Rhodes took the names of seven fielders. He named two players each from South Africa and India, and also added one player each from Australia, New Zealand and the West Indies.
These names are Herschelle Gibbs (South Africa), AB de Villiers (South Africa), Suresh Raina (India), Ravindra Jadeja (India), Ricky Ponting (Australia), Martin Guptill (New Zealand) and Kieron Pollard (West Indies). At present, only Ravindra Jadeja, Martin Guptill and Kieron Pollard are active in the international set-up.

Earlier, in an interview, Rhodespraised the fielding of Suresh Raina. He claimed that Raina was his favourite fielder in the whole of India.

In the latest Q&A session, another fan asked Rhodes about his present favourite cricketer in India. Surprisingly, he named the present KXIP’s youngster Sarfaraz Khan.

Earlier in IPL career, Sarfaraz played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The 22-year-old hasn’t made his international debut yet. Most recently, during a Ranji Trophy match against Uttar Pradesh, the Mumbai youngster scored a triple-century (301*) to grab the headlines.
