Samit Dravid, the son of India legend Rahul Dravid, has smashed second double-century in less than two months. Playing for Mallya Aditi International School in the BTR Shield Under-14 Group I, Division II, Samit played an innings of 204 runs. His knock included 33 boundaries.
Riding on the superlative effort from the youngster, Mallya Aditi International School put on a big total of 377/3. After superlative display with the bat, Samit also shone with the ball and scalped two wickets as Sri Kumaran were dismissed for 110, losing the game by a big margin of 267 runs.

Samit has shown signs of following his father’s footsteps in junior cricket and is likely to progress to the next level soon. He is already a star at the junior level and has had attracted eyeballs on numerous occasions. Born in 2005, he is aged 14 and needs some time to make it to the senior level.
What Rahul Dravid is doing these days?

Dravid is the only player from the fab four who took up coaching on a full-time basis after retirement. He took over as India A and U-19 team’s head coach in 2015. Under him, India U-19 made it to the final of the Junior World Cup in 2016. The BCCI extended his stay for another two years and in 2018, Boy In Blue ended the six-year wait by winning the World Cup held in New Zealand.

After the end of his contract in 2019, Dravid took over as Director (Cricket) of National Cricket Academy. His role covers all the teams and the junior players continue to get advice from the India legend.
Apart from coaching BCCI’s teams, Dravid was also associated with Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) as their mentor in 2016 and 2017. Before that, he was also associated with Rajasthan Royals in coaching capacity. Dravid is likely to continue as NCA’s director for a long time.
