WWE Raw Preview (18/05/20): McIntyre vs. Corbin; Women’s Tag Title Match 2

As announced on last week’s episode of WWE RAW, Drew McIntyre announced that a brand invitation rule will be in effect on the show where a superstar from SmackDown could be traded. Thus, King Baron Corbin will make his presence felt on the flagship show to compete on the main event of the show. As confirmed by WWE.com, the bonafide heel will battle the WWE Champion in a non-title affair,

“As part of the brand-to-brand invitational, The King of The Ring is coming to Raw to make an example of Drew McIntyre.

King Corbin announced his intentions of putting the WWE Champion in his place last Monday, while McIntyre urged the WWE Universe to tune in, as he has a Claymore fit for a king.

Who will stand tall during this inter-brand showdown? Find out this Monday at 8/7 C on USA Network!”

WWE Raw Preview (18/05/20): McIntyre vs. Corbin; Women’s Tag Title Match 3

Last Monday night, The IIconics – Billie Kay & Peyton Royce made their return to WWE Raw appearing on “A Moment of Bliss” and then defeating WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross in a non-title match.

It was more than enough to hand these two former title-holders to grab another opportunity. Thus, the two returnees will now challenge the two champions for the titles. Could The IIconics pull off an upset? We have to wait and see for the show to air.

Becky Lynch shocked the WWE Universe by declaring her pregnancy news on WWE Raw. Moments after the announcement, we have also crowned a new champion in Asuka who was elated to start a new era on Monday Nights. With that being said, she’d now be having a target on her back as the female athletes will be gunning for the belt. With that being said, we should get a hint on who’d become the first challenger for Asuka’s title.

Meanwhile, Becky Lynch’s boyfriend and the father of her child, Seth Rollins seemed lost after the announcement that took the pro-wrestling world by storm, last week. He made a vicious attack on Rey Mysterio on WWE Raw that led the latter name blooded. As per the updates from WWE.com, Rey has picked up a severe eye injury,

“Rey Mysterio’s injury status is still listed as critical. Doctors cannot properly assess the damage to his retina until the swelling subsides, as Rey is currently at-risk for infection.

Mysterio suffered an eye injury when Seth Rollins grinded his face into the corner of the steel ring steps.”

Negative Update On Rey Mysterio’s WWE Career; Yet To Sign New Contract

It seems that a new rivalry has started via this attack on Rey Mysterio against Seth Rollins via this attack eying a match at Backlash. However, it’ll be interesting to see how Rollins shows addresses his attack on the high-flying superstar. Rey is not expected to appear on the show.

Last week’s WWE RAW went off the air on an interesting note where Randy Orton claimed that Edge doesn’t have his wrestling skills left following his return to action after nine years. So he challenged the Rated R Superstar to a pure wrestling match at Backlash. Edge is yet to respond to the challenge keeping the WWE Universe eagerly waiting. Will he speak up? We have to wait until WWE Raw comes live, tonight on the USA Network.
