Since T20I cricket started in February 2005, this format has gradually gained popularity worldwide. As the cricket world is enjoying this format hugely, it is also helping to globalise the game. Apart from the 12 full members, 92 associate members are even now playing T20I cricket, as the ICC awarded the T20I status for all its members since 1st January 2019 (in men’s cricket).
Though this shortest format is known for the batsmen-oriented game, the skilful bowlers also get ready to dominate in their four-over spell.

After the Netherlands team sent Scotland to bat first, Scottish openers George Munsey and skipper Kyle Coetzer provided an incredible start with their record T20I partnership of 200 runs. It was the third 200-run partnership in T20I history which set up the tone for the 250+ total.
While Coetzer was dismissed on 89 runs off 50 balls (11 fours and 5 sixes), Munsey not only became the second Scottish batsman to score a T20I century (41 balls) but also recorded the highest individual score for his team with 127 not out off 56 balls (5 fours and 14 sixes).
At the end of the 20 overs, Scotland scored 252/3. In reply, the Dutch side scored 194/7 as Scotland won that match by 58 runs.
