WWE RAW Superstar and one half of The IIconics, Billie Kay has come a long way in the company ever since debuting, a few years ago back on NXT. Now she is a well-established wrestler on the flagship show alongside tag team partner Peyton Royce who recently spoke with Australia’s Wide World of Sports. She went on to discuss her friendship with WWE legend The Rock.

Billie Kay revealed that she had a five-year plan in 2017 that revolved around the goals she had while entering the world of WWE. Later she noted at the end of 2019 that she assessed that plan to check her accomplishments. Apparently, she might have over-delivered on those expectations in a time span of just three years.
It seems most of the to-do lists have been checked. Billie Kay had her debut on RAW or SmackDown, perform on a WWE pay-per-view, win a WWE title, get her own t-shirt on WWE Shop, got an action figure, feature in a video game, perform at WrestleMania, enter a Royal Rumble Match, help to improve the WWE women’s tag team division, and last but not the least, meet The Rock.

Billie Kay admitted during the interview that she was brought to tears, the moment she made eye contact with The People’s Champion. The Rock was forced to applaud The IIconics for their WWE success that appeared to be the greatest compliment the duo could ask for.
“That was one of the greatest moments of my life. I was so nervous. I remember walking to the ring and I was going to wait for him,” Billie Kay said of meeting The Rock. “I was shaking, I couldn’t sit still, I was pacing. As soon as we made eye contact, I started crying. We hugged, it was amazing, he smelt like magical unicorns and rainbows. It was fabulous.”
“We were able to talk for a few seconds and he had mentioned he watched our IIconics stuff and that we were doing great and to keep going and a couple of other little things. It was very special to me.”
WWE previously released a video from The Rock’s backstage appearances from the Friday Night SmackDown debut on FOX from last year’s October. There was a separate segment where Bill Kay had a fangirl moment with The Great One. From then onward, Kay has gone to become a friend of the former WWE Champion.
“We are friends, we’re mates,” she added. “We have little Twitter and phone messages here and there. I’m fortunate enough to have him in my life as a friend which is absolutely absurd and very surreal, but hey I’ll take it.”
