WWE NXT TakeOver specials have become a tradition that mostly takes place in association with a WWE pay-per-view. But that must not become necessary as these events have all the elements to become stood alone shows and WWE is looking forward to doing it. This might be the reason why Survivor Series will receive no NXT special, this year.
WWE To Host More NXT & NXT UK TakeOver Events In Late 2020
According to the reports of PW Insider, WWE pulled NXT TakeOver during Survivor Series 2020 weekend. Instead, they have now booked a new TakeOver special for December 6th. It is unknown what they will call this December 6th TakeOver special. Plus, the location of the show has also not been disclosed.

But planning a separate NXT TakeOver event in early December will give NXT enough time to make a solid build to that show. The idea of TakeOver not taking place during Survivor Series weekend also give exposure to NXT Superstars to the yearly event for WWE where the brands go to battle to reign supreme over one another. NXT has become a part of this particular show from last year onwards.
Meanwhile, it’s being reported that NXT UK is coming back on September 17th. The superstars from this brand have spent a long time away from TV as WWE had even scrapped one of the TakeOver specials. But now they are returning with a new special.

According to PW Insider, the next NXT UK TakeOver special will go down on October 4th. As of now, no special name has been assigned to the show as WWE never officially informed the same on WWE Network.

The company is likely to hold this event at the BT Sport studios as they cannot hold live events with fans in the United Kingdom due to their strict COVID-19 policies. However, WWE is putting some real efforts to make the shows happen in this tough situation.
Shawn Michaels was the one who led the production team on the NXT UK television tapings that are reportedly over. He wasn’t directly present on the show. Instead, HBK gave orders through a loudspeaker from WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
