The Miz still has the chance to become the second superstar in WWE’s history to cash in his Money In The Bank contract successfully even when he didn’t win the original MITB ladder match at the PPV. Previously, he squandered the opportunity through his actions at WWE TLC 200 as he had to deal with a hard loss but found an alternate way to get the prized possession back.
The Miz recently failed to win the WWE Title after cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase title shot during the WWE TLC pay-per-view event as WWE Champion Drew McIntyre defended against AJ Styles. McIntyre eventually retained in that TLC Match after taking out AJ and dropping Miz with a Claymore. However, as pointed out by The Miz, John Morrison actually handed the briefcase to the referee that night and initiated the cash-in which wasn’t legal.

The Miz then started campaigning to get his briefcase back from last week onwards because the rules say the possessor must be the one to cash in. He went on a rant about how he wants a WWE official to reinstate his Money in the Bank contract opportunity because Morrison is the one who cashed it in.

The Miz Gets Back His 2020 WWE Money In The Bank
This week’s RAW saw The Miz lose a singles match to Gran Metalik. Later, a backstage segment aired where WWE Producer Adam Pearce walked up on a disappointed Miz and Morrison to reveal that The Miz has regained possession of Money in the Bank briefcase.
He pointed out how they were right all along about Morrison cashing in for him. Pearce made it clear that he isn’t much happy with the decision, but he did congratulate The Miz on getting his “grubby little hands” on the briefcase, once again.

There’s no information available yet on what WWE is planning with the Money In the Bank briefcase but The Miz will get a big chance to cash in next Monday during the Legends Night edition of RAW. The main event has been set up where we will see Drew McIntyre defend the WWE Title against new number-one contender Keith Lee. Via this ongoing drama, WWE has been able to keep the interest alive on the situation of the MITB contract.
