WWE Raw Results (28/12/20): Lee vs Sheamus; Randy Orton-Alexa Bliss

The final edition of WWE RAW in 2020 was delivered this week from the ThunderDome where Alexa Bliss was set to play mind-games with Randy Orton. A championship feud was rumored to begin between Drew McIntyre and Sheamus while Miz’s quest to get back the MITB briefcase, continued. Check out results from the show that went down from the Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay, Florida.

WWE Raw opened with a tribute to recently passed away star Luke Harper after which WWE Champion Drew McIntyre came out to the ring mentioning how he will defend his title, next week. The two competitors of the contender’s match, Sheamus and Keith Lee then appeared to compete in the opening match of the night.

Sheamus and Keith Lee went at each other to secure a title shot. Lee dodged a Brogue Kick attempt to hit his opponent with a Crossbody. Sheamus soon countered with the White Noise. But Lee hit some of the Grizzly Magnum chops and then followed up with the Spirit Bomb to win the match. He will face McIntyre for the title on WWE Raw, next week.

The Miz vs. Gran Metallik was the next match on WWE RAW where Miz hit a running shot to his opponent followed by a big boot. Metalik made a comeback and hit a dropkick from the second rope. Miz caught Metalik for a powerbomb but Metalik slid down and rolled up Miz for the pinfall victory.

Dana Brooke vs. Shayna Baszler was the next match on WWE RAW where Baszler sent Brooke to the floor as Mandy Rose checked her. Baszler tried to attack her but Brooke jumped on her to make the save. Back in the ring, Baszler hit a knee-strike on Brooke followed by her Kirifuda Clutch submission move to pick up the win.

WWE Raw Results (28/12/20): Randy Orton-Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss was present on WWE Raw to present an edition of Alexa’s Playground and invited Randy Orton to the ring. But Orton showed up via the tron at the Firefly Funhouse set. He kicked Huskus The Pig over and took out Mercy The Buzzard and threw him into Abby The Witch. He also ripped apart Rambling’ Rabbit. Apparently, Bliss and Orton’s would again meet in the ring, later the night.

AJ Styles competed, next against Elias to keep him down with a Pele Kick. Elias tried to come back with a Fisherman’s Suplex move but eventually hit a TKO for a close two-count. A frustrated Elias then met with an Enziguiri from AJ who soon followed up with a Phenomenal Forearm to get the win.

Ricochet went up against RETRIBUTION leader Mustafa Ali and put him down with a Kickback finisher. He then put down T-Bar and MACE with two back to back DDTs. Ricochet then went for the Shooting Star Press but Ali pulled his knees up. Ali locked in the Kofi Clutch to get the win. Ali then ordered Ricochet to join their faction but Ricochet planted him with a Recoil before escaping the ring.

Charlotte Flair competed against Nia Jax on WWE Raw where the latter hit a big boot followed by a Sitdown Powerbomb. Flair avoided a leg drop and tried to capitalize with the Figure-eight Leglock. Baszler ran into the ring and locked in Kirifuda Clutch on Flair to disqualify the contest. Asuka made the save as Jax and Baszler retreated through the floor.

The New Day, Riddle and Jeff Hardy vs. The Hurt Business was the final match of WWE RAW where Shelton Benjamin put down Riddle in a ringside brawl. Hardy hit the Twist of Fate on Benjamin to counter. Lashley tagged in and applied the Hurt Lock to receive the win. After the match, Riddle hit Lashley with a Final Flash before escaping with the babyfaces.

Alexa Bliss invited Randy Orton in the main event segment of WWE RAW begging him to lit fire on her just like he did to The Fiend at TLC. Bliss opened a can of gasoline and wet herself up doing it as Orton was thinking whether he should do it. Orton then took a match-stick and went to put Bliss on fire when the lights went out at ThunderDome. The strange sounds of The Fiend continued to play at the arena as the show went off the air.
