WWE Raw delivered the final episode of 2020 which turned out to be an eventful one. It had some major happenings on the night ensuring a great start for the first night of Raw in 2021. The WWE Championship will be on the line for the first time since the TLC PPV event as Keith Lee vs. WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is now official for the upcoming episode.
This week’s WWE RAW saw Lee competing against Sheamus in the opener, which was also a number-one contender’s match to determine the next challenger for McIntyre. Lee countered a Brogue Kick attempt with his pendant Spirit Bomb to pick up the win.

Following the match, WWE confirmed Lee competing against McIntyre for next Monday’s Legends Night edition of RAW on the USA Network. The Miz could be lurking in for a Money in the Bank cash-in as he’s back in possession of the MITB briefcase.

WWE Raw: Royal Rumble Announcements Made
The first set of WWE Raw superstars for the 2021 Royal Rumble match was also named last night. WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley declared his spot for the 30-Man Rumble Match. Lashley has been rumored for a United States Title defense at the event, perhaps against Riddle in a singles contest or in a Triple Threat with Jeff Hardy. There’s still no confirmation on whether that match will happen at the pay-per-view, or on an upcoming episode of Raw.
WWE RAW also saw Nia Jax announcing her spot for the 30-Woman Royal Rumble Match. Her partner Shayna Baszler also hinted that she will also accompany her tag team partner in the match, but WWE has not officially included into the match, as of this writing.
Apart from these WWE Raw superstars, only one SmackDown Superstar has announced a spot for The Rumble as and that’s Daniel Bryan. More names for the over the top rope battle will be names in the upcoming SmackDown on New Year’s Day.
The 2021 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view will air, live on January 31 from The ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay, Florida. The card for the show stands as follows,
