WWE programming has got over the fact that the franchise player, John Cena hasn’t been on it, anymore. It’s a good thing that the company managed to think beyond the name who was the carrier of the shows for over a decade. But then there is a part of the fans who believe that WWE isn’t the same without him and there’s come the need for a return which is constantly under speculation.
John Cena recently spoke with Nick Harley of Den Of Geek and discussed the last time we saw him in a WWE ring, and what could be waiting for him when he makes the inevitable return, down the road. It should be noted that the Veteran WWE Superstar has not been seen in WWE since losing to “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in the Firefly Fun House match at WrestleMania 36.

The sixteen-time world champion thanked the interviewer for throwing such praise to him. He mentioned having the ability to tell good stories, time to time. He was in the main event of Wrestlemania 29 against The Rock but the very next year, he featured in a match against a newcomer like Bray Wyatt.
“To your question now, I don’t think it’s about topping what you’ve done. I think it’s about correctly continuing a narrative,” John Cena stated on a return. “It will simply be if there is an enthralling and correct continuation to the narrative. I really, really want to get back to WWE.
I really want audiences to get back to WWE. Heck I’m with everybody I think around the world saying I just want the world to get back to normal, but these are interesting times and I have a lot of interesting opportunities at my feet, and I really do appreciate the WWE universe understanding that after so many years of.”

As much as WWE Universe would like to see John Cena back on TV, it’s not happening, anytime soon. He is currently shooting for Peacemaker TV series on HBO in Vancouver. The schedule is likely to be wrapped up already which may allow him to be a part of Summerslam 2021.
