His popularity, career accolades, and ability to connect with the audience could make him one of the all-time greats, if not the greatest of all time. Nowadays, he has also become a movie star on his own rights to become an even bigger star power.
But things weren’t always smooth for the Cenation Leader. There was a point when he didn’t have a home to live and this fact was revealed during a recent interview with the US Sun. He was originally invited into the conversation to promote his new film F9, which is the latest film in the Fast & Furious franchise. While detailing the filming experience, he also remembered his earlier life before entering the WWE.

During the interview, John Cena revealed that he had been living in his car after he left Massachusetts to go to Los Angeles in order to pursue his ambition to become a bodybuilder. At that point, he was homeless for a period of time. He didn’t have enough funds to rent a house. Hence, he was forced to reside inside his car.
“I slept in my car for a while, which happened to be a very roomy 1991 Lincoln Town Car,” recalled John Cena. “I had my clothes in the trunk and I slept in the back seat.”

The sixteen-time world champion used to work at a gym in LA but that job was not enough to support his costs of living. He revealed more about his life during that time,
“I’d wake up, use the locker rooms and the shower and repeat the process all over again. I’d wake up, use the locker rooms and the shower and repeat the process all over again.” (Quotes The Sun US)
John Cena had left home to pursue his dreams in LA and his dad would not believe that his son would be successful. He thought his junior would return home, quickly. But just like the ‘never give up’ catchline, he never really gave up and became a global icon, down the road using the platform provided by Vince McMahon and co. No wonder why he is so thankful to the WWE Chairman.
