WWE Day 1 is being touted to kick things off for the company in 2022 in a big way if not the COVID-19 situation provides any sort of hindrances. WWE reportedly also considered several presentation ideas for tonight’s pay-per-view, but all of those were declined.

It was noted by @Wrestlevotes that multiple presentation ideas were discussed for a new look and feel for WWE Day 1 (including different rope colors, a different color for the mat, additional camera angles, and much more) but all those ideas were reportedly declined.

As per the earlier announcement, The Migos – Offset, Quavo, and Takeoff were announced to make a special appearance at WWE Day 1. They have not confirmed that their theme song will be performed live, while WWE is also yet to confirm the live performance. In more news from WWE Day 1, WWE reportedly has a big WrestleMania 38 angle planned for Saturday’s Day 1 pay-per-view during the main-event between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. That angle is still on which is the reason why Roman was kept off the recent house shows as WWE hell-bent on putting up the angle, as planned.

The main card of WWE Day 1 remains unchanged, as of this writing but things could be updated when the show actually takes place given there are reportedly some COVID-19 cases within the company. Seth Rollins is the only confirmed COVID-19 positive case from Raw. But there are plenty more names who could be dealing with some repercussions.

Based on changes in recent WWE TV and live events schedules, WWE Champion Big E, RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Queen Zelina Vega Carmella, Bobby Lashley, King Xavier Woods, Erik, Austin Theory, Omos, WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns also missed events in some capacity. Hence, they could end up missing WWE Day 1 while nothing is confirmed, yet.
