AJ Styles is considered to be one of the best pro wrestlers of the modern generation if not the best. Before coming to the WWE, he made a name for himself by competing in numerous promotions all over the world, including TNA, NJPW, ROH, and many more. Upon coming to the WWE, he expectedly stole the show and WWE also seemed keen to keep him under their banner.
As reported earlier, AJ Styles recently signed a new contract with WWE for a whopping $3 million, a year. The company does see a lot of value in this top superstar who has the ability to return this money by selling events and merchandise. So for all the rightful reasons WWE wanted to ensure that he sticks with the company for a long time. The superstar is also keen to work with the company even after his wrestling stint would be over.

According to a recent report from Fightful Select, more details regarding AJ Styles’ new contract signing, have surfaced. WWE expected to have multiple persuasions from different companies once his contract expired due to her credibility. This is the reason why the WWE officials rushed to extend his contract as early as possible. The approach was reportedly made even before any promotions could get in touch with him,
“WWE expected Styles to have plenty of suitors, and we’re told that as in the case with some other big names in the company, wanted to get Styles’ deal extended before he could even hit free agency to talk to anyone else. Styles is said to be very happy in the company, and has mentioned numerous times that he’d like to work for WWE after his wrestling career.”

AJ Styles is among the top Superstars from Raw
Via this new contract, AJ Styles will earn as much as WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg was earning in his previous deal. AEW also remained inactive to get AJ Styles which was a surprise but perhaps they didn’t get the chance in the first place. WWE has now booked him in a dream match against Edge for WrestleMania 38 and he will be heading into the Show of Shows as a babyface superstar.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AJ Styles’ new WWE contract makes him one of the top earners in the WWE, today. He would be earning as much as the likes of Goldberg, Edge, and The Miz.
“If the number is correct, it would put Styles in the top echelon when it comes to money behind Lesnar, Reigns, Rousey and Orton that we know of and Edge, Goldberg and it is believed Miz are the guys right underneath the top four that he’d be at the same level with. Owens was believed to be the next highest guy but if this number is accurate it would be above what Owens just signed for,” WON noted.
