Starting in the WWE in the year 2014, Becky Lynch had undergone a huge growth to become a bonafide WWE Superstar. Over the years, she has become one of the top merchandise movers in the WWE, giving tough competition to her male colleagues. Her rise in the company is a well-documented one that has always been an organic process due to the tremendous support that she received from the fans.
Almost no one has worked as hard as her, to get to the top of the women’s division that eventually made her the first All-Women Wrestlemania main-event winner. That historic victory also made Becky Lynch, the only superstar to hold both the Raw and Smackdown Women’s Championships, at the same time.
Becky Lynch: WWE Can’t Use The Man Gimmick For Ex Raw Women’s Champion?

As mentioned, Becky Lynch had to crawl her way to the top of the stardom for quite a few years. The journey for her wasn’t that easy on the main roster. She entered the mainstay scene in 2015 but eventually had to wait until 2018 to get the major break.
She turned heel for the first time after attacking Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2018. This led to her second SmackDown Women’s Championship win at Hell in a Cell after which ‘The Man’ gimmick started to change the course for her.
Becky Lynch had to wait a long time before getting success
While speaking with former WWE TV personality Renee Paquette and former UFC Champion Miesha Tate on the Throwing Down podcast, WWE Legend Mick Foley recalled a conversation he had with Becky Lynch when she wasn’t a megastar. The Hardcore revealed how frustrated she was with her career’s direction in the WWE.
“Before Becky became The Man, she was quite frustrated and I remember talking to her on the phone and I was not aware that the women started becoming far better compensated in the modern era. I was telling Becky, you know don’t rule out the independents you might feel like a good weight is off your shoulders.”

The Man gimmick is unarguably one of the bests that WWE had produced in the modern era of wrestling. Fans were more than over with the shtick as they came up with tons of support for it. As noted above, Becky Lynch capitalized on this popularity to become a dual champion at Wrestlemania 35. Moreover, she was never pinned or submitted for the Raw Women’s Title for the timespan between ‘Mania 35 to 38.
