A trios match will be going down at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2022 after what transpired on this week’s episode of Dynamite. It had a confrontation segment between Jon Moxley and Hiroshi Tanahashi. The face-off was interrupted by Chris Jericho, Tay Conti, and Sammy Guevara.
Suzuki-gun’s Lance Archer and El Desperado were also in attendance in a surprise capacity and went on to attack Moxley and Tanahashi. Jericho then revealed that Archer and Desperado are hired for the time being from Minoru Suzuki who will be teaming up with him and Sammy at Forbidden Door 2022 in a trios match. Their opponent will be Wheeler Yuta, Shota Umino, and Eddie Kingston.

On an interesting note, Jericho revealed that the real-life couple Guevara and Conti are the newest members of “The Jericho Appreciation Society.” This comes after Guevara helped Jericho win his “Hair vs. Hair” match against Ortiz and thereby save the hair of the former WWE Superstar.
In more announcements from AEW Dynamite: Road Rager special episode, it was noted that Will Ospreay will face Orange Cassidy at AEW Forbidden Door 2022.
During the latest bygone episode, IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Ospreay defeated ROH & AAA Tag Team Champion Dax Harwood. The United Empire then delivered a beatdown on FTR and Roppongi Vice. Orange Cassidy then made his return and confronted Ospreay to set up this match.
The other match announced for Forbidden Door 2022 will see Thunder Rosa defending her AEW Women’s Title against Toni Storm. After the match was announced, Storm defeated Dr. Britt Baker in a rematch from the Owen Hart Cup semi-finale. The win came after Rosa stopped interceptions from Baker’s ally Jamie Hayter. Rosa has been the AEW Women’s Champion since defeating Dr. Britt Baker on March 16, 2022, episode of AEW Dynamite: St. Patrick’s Day Slam.
