WWE will be holding an annual Madison Square Garden show during the holiday season just a night after Christmas. It’s become a company tradition to hold a non-televised house show event at MSG in New York City the day after December 25 and this year would be no exception, either.
Going by the tradition of this yearly show at Madison Square Garden, fans in attendance get to witness Title matches and a Steel Cage match. The 2022 edition will also have a gimmick match in the form of a Ladder Match. PWInsider is reporting that WWE is setting things up for a live event inside MSG on December 26, 2022.

The match card is always subjected to change but it’s interesting to note that WWE is opting out top names like Roman Reigns or Ronda Rousey for this show. Even Drew McIntyre’s appearance is in jeopardy given that he’s dealing with a ruptured eardrum from Survivor Series: WarGames.
Last year’s holiday show at Madison Square Garden featured three title matches, with one of them being a steel cage match. The main event saw a second Steel Cage match where WWE Hall of Famer Edge was called in on short notice to square off against Kevin Owens. That particular MSG show was disrupted due to some reasons and several matches were canceled at the last minute.

On the 2021 Madison Square Garden Holiday show edition, Tommaso Ciampa defeated Pete Dunne to retain the NXT Championship while Team RK-Bro defeated The Street Profits and The Mysterios in a Steel Cage match to retain their Tag Team Championships. In another title match, Damian Priest outlasted The Miz to retain his WWE United States Championship.
