India won the second test match against Australia by 6 wickets, Men in Blue has now led by 2-0 against Pat Cummins-led side in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
The last time team India lost the test series on their home soil was in 2012 against England. Former PCB chief Ramiz Raza after India’s recent victory against the Aussie side said that it is almost impossible to beat India in India.

Ex- PCB chief Raza praised India’s success in the longer format of the game –
“How Australia’s match has finished, similarly, Aussies used to finish games against sub-continent teams in Perth or Brisbane. The tables have turned. It shows that Australia are not prepared, especially when it comes to playing good Test cricket in India,It’s impossible to beat Team India in India. An ordinary performance against spin. Nine wickets were dismissed in one session. Jadeja produced an excellent bowling performance,” said ex-Pakistani cricketer Raza.
Former Pakistan’s top-order batter Raza praised Indian lower-order batting for their recent victory in Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT). The left-handed batter Axar Patel’s effort of 74 runs in the Delhi test match in the first innings was very crucial in recent success, Patel and R. Ashwin together added 114 runs for the 8th wicket to narrow down visitor’s side lead to 1 run.
“The clincher was Axar Patel’s batting. Given the circumstance, he scored 60-70 runs. He shared a partnership with Ashwin when Australia could have got a sizeable lead. That’s because Australia were not mentally strong and there are technical flaws. Their batting against spin is disastrous. They played wrong shots, sweep shots, and ruckus batting,” he further concluded.
Unlike many foreign players who criticised India for making the spinning track, the right-handed batter Raza praised Asian giants for making the turning track and using it to their full advantage.
“It’s almost impossible to beat India on spinning tracks. The strategy is very successful. Pakistan also tried to prepare spin tracks and defeat the opposition, but it didn’t happen. Not only India kept the conditions right but also they trusted their execution and talent to destroy the Australian batting attack,” said ex-cricketer cum Youtuber Raza.
Rohit Sharma-led side will now be looking to win the third test match to insure their place in Asian Giants India will take on Pat Cummins-led Australia for the third test match of BGT at Indore on March 1st. India has now successfully retained the BGT four consecutive times after winning the Delhi test match.
