While the main roster show will emanate from Saudi Arabia, the NXT Specials will go down the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts. This will be the third PLE under the NXT brand outside the PC in Florida following the COVID-19 pandemic era.
Betting odds for NXT Battleground 2023 have been revealed by BetOnline and it certainly indicates two new champions to be crowned at the PLE. In the main event, the current WWE NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes (-1000) is favored to retain his title against the challenger Bron Breakker (+500). Hayes is the new poster boy of the NXT brand his championship loss doesn’t make sense, at this point. Being a heel should also protect Breakker’s strong character.

NXT North American Champion Wes Lee (-150) is favored to retain against Joe Gacy (+200) and Tyler Bate (+350) in a Triple Threat Match. Also, at NXT Battleground 2023, Dragon Lee (-200) is the favorite to capture the Heritage Cup from Noam Dar (+150) in their British Rounds Rules match.
The odds released for NXT Battleground 2023 also disclose that The Creed Brothers (-140) will defeat Gallus (+100) for the NXT Tag Team Championship. Also, Ilja Dragunov (-300) is slightly favored to beat Dijak (+200) in their Last Man Standing Match. This is going to be perhaps the most brutal match of the PLE given the bad blood between the two. As seen in the latest episode, the two had fought all over WWE’s Performance Center.
Tiffany Stratton favorite to become a new champion at NXT Battleground 2023
In possibly the most anticipated match at NXT Battleground 2023, Tiffany Stratton (-1000) is highly favored to defeat Lyra Valkyria (+500) to become the new NXT Women’s Champion in the final match of a championship tournament. The tournament began in the first place since the former champion Indi Hartwell vacated the belt due to injury and main roster call-up.

In the qualifier rounds, Stratton defeated the likes of Gigi Dolin and Roxanne Perez to secure her spot in the finals while Valkyria overcame challenges from Kiana James and Cora Jade to advance in the finale of the tourney. Thus, NXT Battleground 2023 will mark the first-ever singles contest between Stratton and Valkyria. Whoever ultimately wins, the baton of the NXT Women’s division is confirmed to be in the hands of a new generation.
