It was reported earlier that WWE has got a reason for a headache on the in a time when the biggest PPV of the summer is just around the corner. Brock Lesnar was alarmed by the US Anti-doping agency for using drugs which were out of MMA fight rule book. Lesnar came out positive with the sample collected from him dated June 28th. If he is suspected of using it willingly then WWE may very well have to go all the way to Summerslam without the biggest attraction of the event i.e. Brock Lesnar.
Now, UFC has further reported that the beast further came out positive with the sample collected just 12 hours prior to the UFC 200 event. They released the following statement:
“The UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Brock Lesnar that his in-competition sample collection from July 9, 2016, at UFC 200, has tested positive for the same substance as his previously announced out-of-competition collection on June 28, 2016.
USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case. It is important to note that under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full fair legal review process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission also retains jurisdiction over this matter as the sample collection was performed at UFC 200 in Las Vegas. Consistent with all previous potential anti-doping violations, additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.”
Though the medicine for which he was tested positive has not been disclosed by UFC, wrestlingINC.com reports that the substance might have been estrogen blocker Clomiphene.
It is almost certain that with the second test being positive UFC is bound to take a major step towards Lesnar by fining him a huge amount of money and banning him from MMA competition for the next two years.
