Team India will be looking to regain the top spot in the points table overtaking the inform South Africa when they face defending England which will take place in Lucknow on Sunday, October 29th. The eyes of fans will be on Rohit Sharma and his team, as they will look to clinical once again in the ongoing marquee event.

Rohit Sharma became the full-time ODI and T20I captain in 2021, and in December of that year, he was named the Test team’s vice-captain for the South Africa tour. After the Test series, Kohli stepped down from the leadership position in red-ball cricket, and Rohit replaced him in February 2022.

Since then, he has been India’s all-format captain, and under his leadership, India has won 5 Tests, 29 ODIs, and 39 T20Is and the Indian skipper will be looking to extend his winning run in the ongoing marquee event.

India’s ODI World Cup campaign has been brilliant in all five of their games, they have outperformed the opposition in a formidable manner. Both batters and bowlers have been doing quite well, not allowing the opponents to get into the game at any stage of the match and the Men in Blue will walk into the contest against England after a much-needed break after the New Zealand match.

Defending champions England has been poor so far losing four out of five games in the tournament and the defending champions would be keen to put this past behind to come back stronger in the marquee event.
