Seth Rollins has been the cornerstone figure of the WWE Raw/Smackdown TV programming for more than a decade. Like a true workhorse in the company, the reigning world heavyweight champion had worked on a regular basis on TV with his battered and bruised body, over the years. There will be a time when his body will eventually give up and he would have to call it a quit.
Seth Rollins has earned a lot of achievement in his wrestling career and he’s set for another milestone this Saturday at Crown Jewel when he puts the World Heavyweight Championship on the line. While The Visionary still sits at wrestling’s high level at 37 years old, he’s also reached the point in his career where he’s coming to terms with the limitations of his body.

Seth Rollins details how retirement struck his chord in recent times
Additionally, Seth Rollins has had the additional duty of becoming a father for the past few years which is another reason why he is thinking of retirement in the back of his mind. It was in late 2020 that he and his wife Becky Lynch gave birth to a baby daughter Roux which changed the couple’s view on life. The responsibilities that came with it forced the father to tone down wrestling if it was needed.
“I had a little baby girl, and then you start to think ‘Okay, when do I want to wrap this thing up?’ — mostly so I can be an active father for her and not just be gone on the road all the time,” Seth Rollins said during his appearance on Mythical Kitchen.
“I went to see one of my favorite bands a couple of weeks ago called The Wonder Years, and the lead singer Dan is a good friend of mine. And he’s got this bit where he kind of tells the audience ‘We’re closer to the end than we are to the beginning.'” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)

The good thing is Seth Rollins isn’t taking the retirement aspect of his career that much seriously given that he’s had a lot more in his tank. In recent times, the world champion has been thinking of endgame but he’s not making any imminent decisions around that thinking.
Seth Rollins defeated AJ Styles for the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions in May 2023 to become the inaugural champion with the belt in Saudi Arabia. Now, he will defend that belt at Crown Jewel this weekend to set a record for defending four different titles in the land of Saudi Arabia.
