Security Beefed Up At MS Dhoni’s Residence

As India suffered a shocking loss against arch-rivals Pakistan in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy; security has been increased at wicketkeeper MS Dhoni’s residence in Ranchi.

People in India got emotional after the loss against Pakistan. India’s batting order collapsed dramatically while chasing a stiff target of 339. Put into bat the men in Green got off to a good start, courtesy of a 128 opening-run stand between Fakhar Zaman and Azhar Ali. Fakhar Zaman was the star of the show with the bat as he brought his first hundred in an ICC event. Later on, when Pakistan came out to bowl, it was Mohammad Amir who did the damage with the ball. Neither could bowling department do any better.

This move has been taken after considering unruly fan behaviour after the team’s loss in the final. While local police do guard Dhoni’s house round the year but more force is deployed during high-profile matches and bigger tournaments. It may be recalled here that in 2014, the security cover of Mahendra Singh Dhoni was downgraded to Y from Z category by Jharkhand government.

Pakistan, who did not have a good record against India in the knockout stages of International Cricket Council tournaments; started this event the lowest ranked of the eight teams involved but emerged as the champions.

Champions Trophy 2017 : India vs Pakistan – Virat Kohli’s Post Match Speech Received Well By Pakistan

Defending champions India, given 339 to win by Pakistan, collapsed to 33 for three and 54 for five against a side they had decimated by 124 runs in the opening match at Edgbaston on June 4.

They were eventually dismissed for 158 in reply to Pakistan’s 338 for four, which featured Fakhar Zaman’s 114, the left-handed opener’s maiden one-day international hundred coming in just his fourth match at this level.

Amir, who did not play in Pakistan’s eight-wicket win over England in the semi-final as he was out with a back spasm, ended up with three wickets for 16 runs in six overs.

To add insult to injury, India bowled 13 wides and three no-balls in what was a woeful day for all, save Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1/44 in 10 overs).

Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, and Virat Kohli were sent packing by Amir in a fiery spell with three brilliant deliveries. The fate of the match was sealed. Hardik Pandya amassed 76 off 43 balls, hit half a dozen of sixes to provide a glimmer of hope, before being run-out due to a horrible mix-up with Jadeja. Pandya was angry but he was only delaying the inevitable. It was that spell which won the Pakistan the title.

But Virat Kohli proved his sportsmanship in after match presentation as he accepted the defeat and congratulated on the men in green’s team efforts.

Kohli was not only thanked by cricket lovers from across the border but also described as a gentleman. The 28-year-old’s address after his side’s 180-run loss was even praised by the cricketing community.

“I want to congratulate Pakistan, they had an amazing tournament, the way they turned things around, speak volumes for the talent they have. They proved it again, they can upset anyone on their day, disappointing for us but I have a smile on my face because we played well to reach the final,” Kohli said.

This was well received by people across the border.

“When players (Fakhar Zaman) like that get going on their day, it becomes really difficult to stop them because I think 80 percent of his shots were high-risk — and they were all coming off,” said Kohli.”As a bowler and as a captain when that is happening … sometimes you have to sit and say ‘the guy is good enough on the day to tackle anything’.We certainly tried to make them hit in areas that we felt it would be uncomfortable, but we just didn’t have anything going our way in that partnership.”

Meanwhile, reflecting on India’s tournament as a whole, Kohli insisted: “We can (still) be very proud … and we leave here with our heads held high.Credit to everyone for standing up and showing that resilience and reaching the finals — (but) we were outplayed in all departments.”

“In the end … you have to accept and admire sometimes the skill of the opposition,” he added sportingly.

Former cricketers Brendon McCullum and Shane Warne too took to Twitter to appreciate Kohli.

Champions Trophy 2017 : India vs Pakistan : We did it for people – Mohammad Amir

An inspired Pakistan hammered a blundering India by 180 runs to lift the ICC Champions Trophy, riding on a scintillating hundred from rookie opener Fakhar and a sensational bowling spell from Mohammad Amir. This is Pakistan’s first ICC title triumph since their 2009 World Twenty20 win but more importantly it broke the jinx of not performing against India in big ticket matches.

Rohit Sharma (0), Shikhar Dhawan (21) and Virat Kohli (5) were snuffed out by Amir in a devastating first spell with three brilliant deliveries. The fate of the match was sealed.

Hardik Pandya smashed 76 off 43 balls, hit half a dozen of sixes to provide some entertainment, before being run-out due to a horrible mix-up with Jadeja. Pandya was livid but he was only delaying the inevitable.

Amir had been  the star of the match.Pakistan, who had lost all three of their previous matches against India in the knockout stages of International Cricket Council tournaments and started this event the lowest ranked of the eight teams involved, were apart of a sensational win.

Amir wroye on twitter dedicating his win to all people in pakistan “This victory is for the nation. This victory is for Pakistan. Nothing can beat you when you play with vigour,”

Hockey: India vs Pakistan – Virender Sehwag Congratulates Indian Team Over Emphatic 7-1 Win

Not a good day for the Indian team in the Champions Trophy, but a good day in hockey indeed.

India and Pakistan have enjoyed contrast results and performances so far in the Hockey World League 2017 in England. On one hand, India has won two in their two matches – beating Scotland 4-1 and Canada 3-0. Pakistan has had opposite results with two straight defeats. That trend continued on Sunday, as India thrashed Pakistan 7-1 in an all-round show. Harmanpreet, Akashdeep and Talwinder scored two goals each while Pardeep Mor chipped in with one.

Pakistan cricket team came into the match seeded last and lost their very first match with a big margin against the same opponent. However, since that game, everything went their way and they produced some amazing performances which have landed them in a glorious position. Cricket is a game of uncertainties and this tournament just proved it and Pakistan surely deserves every bit of it.

Sehwag took to Twitter to congratulate the Indian Hockey team win. He wrote

“Congrats on a comprehensive 7-1 victory over Pakistan. Well deserved and a great result for Indian hockey

2017 ICC Champions Trophy: KRK Slams Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh In One Single Tweet

Skipper Virat Kohli was removed by Mohammad Amir for five runs during India’s chase against Pakistan in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 at the Oval on Sunday. After winning the toss, Kohli asked Pakistan to bat first. Pakistan rode on Fakhar Zaman’s century to score a mammoth 338 runs at the cost of four wickets.

Responding to India’s performance and Kohli’s early return to pavilion, Bollywood actor Kamaal Rashid Khan posted some aggressive tweets about Indian team and went on to say that Virat Kohli should be banned from playing the game for life.

India began their chase in the most dismal fashion when they lost Rohit Sharma for a duck in the very first over while captain Kohli in the fourth. Pakistan kept picking wickets at equal intervals and reduced India to 54/5 at one stage.

2017 ICC Champions Trophy: India vs Pakistan – Harbhajan Asks People To Stop ‘Baap-Beta’ Taunts

Sarfraz Ahmed-led Pakistan crushed India by 180 runs to win the ICC Champions Trophy title for the first time. With this, Pakistan became the fourth team to complete the ICC table.

A fearsome burst of pace bowling from Mohammad Amir consigned India to a horror 180-run defeat at The Oval.

Chasing Pakistan’s 338 for four, India went down without a fight, as the defending champions lost three in-form batsmen in the first nine overs. Hasan ‘bomber’ Ali took three wickets for 19 to polish off the Indian tail. Pakistan won with 117 balls to spare.

Hardik Pandya’s 43-ball 76 was the lone bright spot in India’s batting, but his run out gave Pakistan an easy passage to victory. India lost Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni in the space of four balls. Yuvraj looked good for his 31-ball 22 but leg-spinner Shahdab Khan won an LBW decision via the TV umpire. Dhoni too lost composure, pulling Hasan Ali to deep square leg.

Imad Wasim’s diving catch at the deep square leg reflected Pakistan’s eagerness to play good cricket. They never lost control even after Pandya launched into their spinners. After Junaid Khan got rid of Ravindra Jadeja, it was just a matter of time. Earlier, Fakhar Zaman’s maiden ODI hundred (114) and his 128-run opening wicket stand with Azhar Ali helped Pakistan pile on a formidable 338 for four wickets.

Harbhajan Singh congratulated Pakistan on Twitter and also asked people to stop lame jokes in the name of ‘Baap-Beta’. He wrote,

“Congratulations Pak cricket team 4 winning the CL17.guys plz stop saying who is baap who is beta.sabka Malik ek woh uparwala.Ind or paki”

Champions Trophy 2017: India vs Pakistan: Pandyatweets and deletes

Batting first, Pakistan posted a mammoth total of 338 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Young opener Fakhar Zaman slammed a brilliant century to guide Pakistan to the formidable total.

The Indian batsmen looked unconvincing from the very beginning as Rohit Sharma went out for a duck. Captain Virat Kohli followed Sharma as he departed when India had scored only 6 runs. After losing 6 wickets for 72 runs, Pandya put up some fight against the Pakistani. He scored 76 off 43 balls. Due to an unfortunate misunderstanding with partner Ravindra Jadeja, Pandya had to walk out. All in all it was a complete domination from the Pakistani side, but Hardik Pandya’s feat in this lost cause will give something to cheer for the Indian fans.

He was unfortunate enough to get a runout by Jadeja.

Pandya’s knock just beat the effort of Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchirst, who had scored a half-century off 33 balls, also against Pakistan at the ICC World Cup final at Lord’s in 1999.Coincidentally, Mohammad Hafeez, who scored a 50 off 34 balls in the Pakistan first innings here earlier on Sunday held the record for the second-fastest 50 in a final, till he was relegated to third position by Pandya.

he wrote one his twitter though later deleted, ” Humme to apno ne lootagairo mai kya dumm tha”

Champions Trophy 2017: India vs Pakistan : TV sets Boken after India looses

India vs Pakistan matches are always over emotional for fans. Worlshas witnessed Pakistan fans breaking tv sets after loss and trolls have went  around the corners.

Sad end to a great run in the tournament. India looked the best team in the tournament. Yet, on the day when they had everything going for them by way of winning the toss and having the drop on Pakistan, they frittered it away. The bowling was awful, with only Bhuvi and Pandya redeeming themselves. The pressure was too much for Bumrah while Ashwin and Jadeja were pedestrian. No balls, wides, indifferent fielding set the tone for a day of extreme bumbling. Did Kohli err is opting to bowl first? Probably.  It allowed Pakistan to take advantage of Bumrah’s wayward bowling and calm their own nerves. They set up a massive target of 339 and went about defending it gloriously Mohammed Amir was brilliant. His three wicket-burst at the top ripped the heart out of the Indian batting. The loss by 180 runs with around 19 overs remaining on a placid pitch was as humiliating as it could get.

Fans didn’t accept this well and media showed how people got crazy and fanatic ! A crazy amn is sen crying breaking his tv set claiming that Kohli has crashed his dreams . The video is superfunny and cryptic even. This performance will be remembered long by both Indian and Pakistani fans.

Champions Trophy 2017 : India vs Pakistan – Sport is a Great Leveller says sania Mirza

Days are not same .On one hand where India suffered huge blow against Pakistan in Champions Trophy on other hand India blew away Pakistan in Semifinal of World Hockey League !

With a dominating performance, India beat Pakistan 7-1 to register their third straight win and seal a place in the quarter-finals of the Hockey league today. India were on the offensive right from the world go and buoyed by Talwinder singh, harmanpreet andAkashdeep singh’s double strikes, India went on to top the table in Pool B.

Pakistan have scripted history and they have won the ICC Champions Trophy for the first time ever. They were exceptional from the start of the day. The only thing which went against them was the toss. After losing the toss, they were put into bat first. The Pakistani batters stood up courtesy of the fantastic knocks from Fakhar Zaman, Azhar Ali and Mohammad Hafeez.

None of the Indian batsmen stood up against the fierce Pakistan bowlers except Hardik Pandya who clobbered them all around the park. However a confusion in the field, cost him his wicket which was the last thing the defending champions needed.

It’s always a debate on who would Sania Mirza support onIndia vs pakistan!Despite her Pakistan connection through husband Sohaib Malik, there has never an ambiguity over her support for the teams. She had often made it clear and what is written or shown has never been in her hands. “I am married to Mr. Shoaib Malik, who is from Pakistan. I am an Indian, who will remain an Indian until the end of my life,” she had once posted on Twitter.

She wrote on twitter today,” lost the cricket but won in hockey against Congratulations Team India and congratulations Team Pakistan sport is a great leveller!”

Champions Trophy 2017: India vs Pakistan : Good Result for Pakistan: Irfan Pathan

Sad end to a great run in the tournament. India looked the best team in the tournament. Yet, on the day when they had everything going for them by way of winning the toss and having the drop on Pakistan, they threw  it away.

The bowling was awful, with only Bhuvi and Pandya redeeming themselves. The pressure was too much for Bumrah while Ashwin and Jadeja were pedestrian. Indian batsman too didn’t come up with the best throwing away early wickets.

Only Hardik Pandya stood strong but suffered a miserable fate.Pakistan came into the match seeded last and lost their very first match with a big margin against the same opponent. However, since that game, everything went their way and they produced some amazing performances which have landed them in a glorious position. Cricket is a game of uncertainties and this tournament just proved it and Pakistan surely deserves every bit of it.

Irfan pathan applauded pakistan on their great win ! He wrote, “Good result 4 Pakistan team.n for our boys we love u guys u played well thruout d tournament.
