And in the last year edition of IPL, all the home matches of Chennai Super Kings have been moves from Chennai to Pune due to local politics. The crowd asked the board to shift the matches away from the state. A section of people thrown shoes at the players to show their outrage.
One of the leaders threatened the officials saying that they would leave snakes into the stadiums if they continue matches in Chennai. As a result, they moved the venue to Pune. Despite the change in venue, Chennai Super Kings won the tournament by winning the most number of matches.
During the course, the fans of Chennai Super Kings travelled in special trains from Chennai to Pune to cheer their team.
