Pakistan Cricketers Moved Out from IPL in 2009:

In the following year, there were few terrorist activities took place in the country, which made Pakistan Cricket Board recall their players back to their country. They haven’t given permission to their players for participation in the Indian Premier League.
Top players like Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar, Younis Khan, Shoaib Malik, Sohail Tanvir and Umar Gul, who was playing for various franchises, were declined permission, along with others.
However, following the controversy, the Indian cricket never allowed Pakistan players to taste the essence of Indian Premier League once again. Perhaps, they would never get the chance again to play in the tournament.
