Sacking Of Lalit Modi in 2010:
The removal of Lalit Modi was a big controversy during those times. He was the man behind the tournament and was the founder of it. His unique idea helped the game of cricket to evolve in a grand way. But, he was unfortunate to be out from the tournament and the Indian board.
He was suspended from his post by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after charges of financial wrongdoing against him emerged in 2010. After finding him guilty of indiscipline and misconduct, the BCCI in 2013 banned him for life from holding any cricket post.
Later, he claimed that there are a lot of cricketers involved in the wrongdoing including the former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. However, they were never taken into count.
