10 Cricketers Who Played Through Injuries 2

In 2014 -2015 Australia were touring South Africa. It was another hard-fought series, this time in South Africa. Australia have won the first Test but the home side came back strongly in the next match.

Australian captain Michael Clarke had played one of the finest knocks of his career.  Batting first Australia posted 494 thanks to tremendous centuries from David Warner and Clarke.

Clarke had to suffer a torrid spell of pace and bounce from Morne Morkel and took repeated blows on the body. Clarke was unbeaten on 161, but it was not an easy hundred.

South Africa while chasing the total was bundled out for 287.  David Warner scored a hundred in the second innings that helped Australia to score 303 to leave South Africa to chase down an impossible 511 to win the match and the series.

South Africa lost the match and eventually the series, but after the end of the match, it was known that  Clarke suffered a broken shoulder, most likely taking a blow from Morkel’s one of the short balls.
