English star Andrew Flintoff was stripped off his England vice-captaincy and fined for consuming alcohol and then going for paddle boating. The incident happened the night before the team was to play against Canada.
Reports suggested that Flintoff was on an eight-hour drinking spree with team-mates after England lost their first match in the World Cup. He was later helped by staff at a five-star hotel in St Lucia after he fell into the rough waters of the Caribbean Sea.
