A lot, read it again, A lot..!!! A lot has been expected from Rashid Khan but unfortunately, he failed to deliver the required goods for the teams. With Afghanistan selecting for the world cup for the first time, Rashid Khan has got a lot to deliver on his shoulders but sadly, he couldn’t do so.

There were many moments of brilliance from him but their frequency was pretty less and the batsmen found it easy to play out the good balls and punish the bad ones. Eoin Morgan, the England skipper especially smashed him by striking 11 sixes of his bowling. He conceded 110 runs in nine overs going wicket-less against England.

Overall, Rashid could pick up only seven wickets from nine games showing that he needs to improve his adaptability on surfaces which don’t turn and despite there being a valid reason behind it, his tournament was a flop with the high bar he had set preceding it.
