9) Dhoni became most successful Test captain (2013)
In March 2013, MS Dhoni emerged as the most successful Indian Test captain, overtaking Ganguly’s 21 Test wins. The victory against Australia in Hyderabad Test was Dhoni’s 22nd win. Later, India gave back Australia the same treatment that they suffered a little more than a year ago. India won the series 4-0.
8) Victorious India at Lords (2014)
In 2014, Dhoni led India to a memorable Test win at Lord’s. The victory at the venue came after 28 years as they went up 1-0 in the series. But sadly they squandered off the advantage and slapped with a 3-1 defeat in the series.
7) Historic Oval Test (1971)
After 39 long years, India recorded their first victory on English soil to conclude a famous year for Indian cricket. Leg spinner Chandrasekhar demolished England’s batting in the second innings to make the foundation of a sensational victory and seal the series against the unofficial ‘world champions’ of Test cricket.
