Yet another life been lost while playing Cricket, as an 18-year-old boy of Udaipur passed away after been hit on neck during batting in a local tournament. It has been just a month while since Australian Cricketer Phillip Hughes died after getting hit by a bouncer of Sean Abbott during Sheffield Shield match at Sydney.

According to reporting of Rajasthan Patrika, on Sunday Morning in Karanpur of Vallabhnagar in Udaipur Region, local boy Ramachandra Ranjit Suthar lost his life after been hit on neck during a Local tournament, despite on wearing a helmet.

As per Villagers, A three-day cricket tournament started on Sunday by Suthar Jangid Brahmin society in Karanpur.

The tournament began with the first match played between Bamania and Amrpura teams. Ranjit, son of Amrpura came out bat at No.5 for his team by wearing helmet.

While batting, he got hit by the ball between head & neck and fell on the pitch. Soon the people there, took hit out of ground but by then, he was unconscious. He was taken to a private hospital in Udaipur by his family, where he passed away after been treated by Doctors for an hour.

It was a hard thing for his family to get over with the grief passed on to whole village and people started rushing to hospital. Family members decided not to conduct post-mortem and Ranjit’s funeral was performed during evening on same day. Later, the announcement was made about cancelation of the tournament on behalf of the society.
