Strange things have happened in cricket in the past, and strange records have been set by the players and teams of different leagues as well.
From school to international cricket, cricketers have done some strange things that have taken the fans by surprise. From teams being bowled out for six runs to a player scoring 1009 on his own, unimaginable things have had happened in this long history of the game.
One such unusual record was set on Saturday in a match in South Africa when a player coincidentally on his birthday scored 490 runs in a One-Day Match in just 151 balls. Shane Dadswell achieved this incredible feat playing for NWU Pukke against Potch Drop in a 50-over club match Potch.
Dadswell hit 57 sixes and hit 27 fours in his extraordinary innings in which he completely tore the opposition bowling. His team scored 677 runs in 50-overs, as the bowlers had a horrific time. All the six bowlers gave runs at over 11 runs per over.

NWU Pukke won the match by 387 runs. However, Dadswell has still some way to go and catch up on the highest ever run scorer in a match scored by a Mumbai teenager when he scored 1009* in 327 balls.
