The middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh had a terrific tournament but his health was an issue during the whole tournament. He was seen vomiting during a league match though he continued to score runs for India. In the finals, he scored 21 runs off 24 balls and set up a partnership with the then captain Dhoni.

After the 2011 World Cup, Yuvraj discovered that he was suffering from blood cancer. But he didn’t let his hope and after fighting the dangerous disease, he returned in the game. But he could not continue his old form. Gradually, his form dipped and was sidelined.

After he was not selected in the World Cup 2019 squad, he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket and also from IPL. Currently, the player plays foreign leagues like Abu Dhabi T10 league and Global T20 Canada league.
