Coming in as a replacement of Mehedi Hasan and playing his first game, Taskin had a lot of pressure on him and he responded well by taking to two wickets of Luke Ronchi and Ross Taylor. The wicket of Taylor was a big blow for New Zealand which really had an impact on their run-rate in the later part of innings.
