Morgan has stood out as the best captain in this tournament. Under him, England had won all their contests and along with that, he had done well with the bat as well. In this game, it was a real test for him to play a captain’s innings and defeat arch-rivals Australia, a task which he accomplished. With an innings of 87, Morgan laid the base to a win alongside Ben Stokes and only returned back after putting his team on the brink of a win.
