- Shikhar Dhawan – 4/5:
Before the tournament, Dhawan’s place was effectively under question, having not been in the greatest of form. He responded to all those questions in his own style, as he propelled India to a superb start at Birmingham early on.
While his opening partner was a bit hesitant, Dhawan was up and running right from the very beginning and looked extremely fluent in his approach.
His three consecutive boundaries off Wahab Riaz gave India the much-needed kick.
