2017 ICC Champions Trophy: India Vs South Africa - Five Turning Points 2

  1. Two Quick Run Outs:

AB de Villiers took off from the very first delivery he faced and didn’t hinder in taking the aggressive route right after coming in the middle. A few of the shots he played were timed to absolute perfection and ominous signs awaited team India. It was right against the run of play, when a poor call from Faf du Plessis for a quick single proved fatal for de Villiers, as an accurate throw from Hardik Pandya and some fine glovework from MS Dhoni, caught the danger man short of his crease. Sending de Villiers back cheaply pretty much ended South Africa’s spine. A few balls later, another hilarious mix-up led to the dismissal of David Miller, as both batsmen were stranded at the same end.
