2017 ICC Champions Trophy: India Will Play The Same Team Tomorrow, Says Virat Kohli Ahead Of The Final

The Pakistan camp might be all pumped up and excited about upcoming Champions Trophy 2017 finals but India skipper Virat Kohli, in his latest media interaction, spoke in his typical carefree fashion and played down the hype surrounding the much awaited India-Pakistan final at the KIA Oval, London.

Speaking at the press conference ahead of the game, Kohli revealed that his side is looking forward to the game as just another match and will try to maintain a relaxed approach for maximum productivity.

“It’s just another game of cricket tomorrow, whatever the result we have to go forward and play more games after that,” Kohli said in London ahead of final tomorrow.

“The more relaxed you stay in these kinds of situations, it is a good thing because it helps you take better decisions.”

Kohli also revealed a very important part of the team plans, stating that the side will most likely remain unchanged. Earlier, news about ace off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin getting ruled out due to injury was doing rounds but with this revelation, all confusion surrounding the fitness of players and team line-up has been sorted out.

“Not looking to change too many things, at this particular stage, he said when asked about the team line-up and strategy.

No matter how much Kohli tries to stay calm, the pressure of the big final will concern him and his boys to some extent. The expectations of the fans will be felt once he is out is the middle.

“Both teams want to win the final. I’m sure all the players will come out and give their best: Virat Kohli.”

Social media especially has the ability to create unnecessary issues for the cricketers. Kohli reveals that in order to stay away from such negativity, the team decided to stay away from the social media completely.

“Biggest learning is to stay off social media, to connect to things that matter. Tough but u have to make effort to stay in a good mindset.”
