2017 ICC Champions Trophy: Pakistan Vs Sri Lanka - Five Turning Points 2

  1. Sarfraz-Amir Stand:-

The comical middle order collapse brought Sri Lanka right back into the game. Sarfraz was the only one who was standing in between them and the semi-finals. He soaked in all the pressure and first added a good little partnership of 25 with Fahim Ashraf. But a run out broke the partnership. Now with just three wickets in hand, Pakistan still needed 75 more runs to win. And then Sarfraz played the innings of his life with a great support from Amir and bit from the Sri Lankan fielders as well who were absolutely ridiculous in the field, especially in the final 30 minutes. The duo added 75-runs and took them into semi-finals. This partnership was a huge turning point in the game.
