Sarfraz Ahmed was in a desperate search of a partner at the other another end, and Amir emerged as his pair who stayed there till the end. Amir played a match winning innings of 28* off 43 at a time when each every run was crucial. Amir did not gift his wicket like many other batsmen and was there at the crease till Pakistan got an entry in the next round to face England. He also bowled well to get two wickets in the game.
