New Zealand batsman Nathan Astle made most of a weak team – the USA and the batsman went on to score the highest ever individual score in the history of Champions Trophy, that stands even in 2017.

Astle played an innings of 145* in the second game of the tournament and carried his team to a giant score of 347. His knock included a total of six sixes and 13 fours but he played a bit slow as Astle played 151 deliveries to put up this much total for himself. This is surprising because the Kiwi batsman in the year 2002 smashed a double century in just 153 deliveries in a Test match and the record is till unbroken.
But this time, Astle consumed 151 deliveries and New Zealand could have scored much big total if he would have played a bit faster.

Unsurprisingly, New Zealand defeated the USA by a big margin of 210 runs in the end.
