Another Asia Cup match and another India – Pakistan thriller. India batting first managed only 245 with Rohit Sharma and Ambati Rayudu scoring half-centuries.
A cameo from Ravindra Jadeja took India to a fighting score. Saeed Ajmal was the pick of the Pakistani bowlers with figures of 10-0-40-3. Pakistan got off to a great start with their openers adding 71 in just 11 overs but soon found themselves at 113/4.
Mohammad Hafeez & Maqsood took them to a winning position, adding 87 for the 5th wicket. But with late strikes from B. Kumar & R. Ashwin, India almost pulled things back.
With 12 to win four balls with only one wicket in hand, Afridi hit two consecutive sixes and finished the match for Pakistan, breaking the hearts of a billion Indian fans.
