Team India toured Pakistan in 2004 for five ODI’s and three Tests. They played their 1st ODI at Karachi. Batting first, India got off to a dream start.
At one stage the team was easily scoring at 10 runs per over. Sehwag scored 79 off just 57 balls and thrashed Pakistan. Rahul Dravid top scored for India with 99 and missed out on a well deserving ton.
Sourav Ganguly and Mohammad Kaif chipped in with useful contributions as well. India ended up with a massive 349 runs on the board. Pakistan started their chase in a horrible manner losing both their openers cheaply.
But Inzamam-ul-Haq refused to give it up so quickly and being the legend, went about his task with class and brutality. He added 100 runs with Mohammad Yousuf, as the two brought the hosts back into the game. They needed 24 off the last three overs, as the game got dead close.
But some extra-ordinary death bowling from the Indian seamers won the match for India. India won the match by five runs to clinch an absolute thriller, and the game is still a sensation on Youtube for millions.
