2017 ICC Champions Trophy: When Sehwag Caught Ganguly And Warne Sleeping 1
Sourav Ganguly and Shane Warne

Virender Sehwag shares the commentary box now with Sourav Ganguly and Shane Warne. Instead of the ironical commentaries that go along, Sehwag too looks good on cracking jokes on social media platforms along with some hilarious pictures.

Sehwag is quite active on social media, keeping his fans and followers always waited for his witty tweets or picture uploads. During Sunday’s match between India and Pakistan, Sehwag came up with something special.

Taking to Twitter, Sehwag posted: “The future is shaped by one’s dreams. These legends still don’t waste time in following their dreams. Sone ka Maza @SGanguly99 @ShaneWarne.”

Though the match proved less a thriller than what was once tipped to be but rain played its part. Though rain intervened a lot in Birmingham still India had an upper hand on their rivals from the offset.

India posted a total in excess of 319/3, as all four of their top order batsmen scored half-centuries. Yuvraj’s Singh’s quickfire 50 and Pandya’s heroics led India to a great total. The remainings were done by the Indian bowlers and Jadeja’s great fielding.

The already stiff target became even tougher for Pakistan, as a third lengthy rain interval meant they had to score 289 runs in 41 overs to win the match. No batsman could deliver well, as Azhar was sent back in 9th over by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Umesh Yadav too left no stones unturned to pounce on the opposition, taking three wickets and even before the blink-of-an-eye the whole team went back to the pavilion giving India the first taste of the win. Pakistan’s innings came to a close in the 34th over, as the injured Wahab Riaz didn’t bat.

India next faces Sri Lanka on 8th June at The Oval.
