The year 2017 have seen several ups and downs in the world of cricket. It has been a sensational year especially for the Men in Blue who hadn’t lost a single series across formats during this year while certain teams tipped their opponents when it came to the shortest format of the game.

Sri Lanka who had performed pretty poorly across formats over the last year or so has been quite impressive only during the T20I’s.

The Islanders inflicted series victories on Australia and South Africa while they got outclassed in the two other formats by most of the top class teams. There have been surprises sprung up by the minnows in the shortest format and to sum that up, the record for the biggest victory in T20’s this year lies with Ireland.

They defeated Scotland by 98 runs in Dubai on 20th January this year courtesy a sensational all-round batting performance which propelled them to a huge score of 211 runs in their allotted 20 overs.

The Men in Blue appears four times on the list. Their very recent victory against the Lankans in the opening T20I in the ongoing series occupies the 2nd position, as India ended up winning the encounter by 93 runs.

3rd on the list is another minnow, Hong Kong who registered a comprehensive victory by 91 runs against the Netherlands in January this year.

The Men in Blue produced yet another stunning performance on Wednesday and riding on a sensational 42 balls 118 by Rohit Sharma; the home team coasted to an 88 runs victory which is the 4th biggest victory in the shortest format this year. India’s win against England early in the year by 75 runs occupies the 7th position while their victory against New Zealand by 53 runs on 1st November is 8th on the list.

The last two on the list are New Zealand and Bangladesh who inflicted victories by 47 and 45 runs to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, respectively. Now let us have a look at the list for the biggest victories in T20I cricket this year.
