2017 Records: List of bowlers with best economy rates in ODI's 1

We are almost approaching the end of this year, and like all the years, 2017 was a memorable one for several cricketers who produced some brilliant performances over the course of this calendar year to win recognition for their country. This year we have seen some fantastic performances from the bowlers who have been economical all throughout the year making it tough for the batsmen to score runs out of them.

Shreyas Iyer of India, who recently made his debut in the international circuit remains the most economical bowler in this calendar year bowling only one over in the second ODI giving away only two runs. It is an unusual achievement for him, but he won’t mind it having besides his name in future given that you have to improve in all the departments to retain a spot in the first XI. However, the second and third position is dominated by Scotland’s Josh Davey and Mark Watt, who presents a brilliant economy rate of 3.00 and 3.39 respectively.

The young leg-spinner from Afghanistan also finds his name in the best economic bowlers in ODI’s as he has been a revelation this year earning accolades all over the world with his variations. He has given runs at a rate of 3.80 in the 16 ODI’s he has played for Afghanistan and has shown immense prospect to find himself in the eighth position.

The list also features two cricketers from UAE and one each from Papua New Guinea, Oman, and Hong Kong which is a welcome sight for the betterment of world cricket. Pakistan’s Faheem Ashraf also finds a place in the list with an economical rate of 3.84.
