We are almost approaching the end of this year, and like all the years, 2017 was a memorable one for several cricketers who produced some brilliant performances over the course of this calendar year to win recognition for their country. With the perception of playing changing, the bowlers find it tough to make space for them as the number of overs keeps reducing.
However, the bowlers have brought in some variations to their game to tackle the batsmen and improve their statistics and tried to keep a check on the flow of runs. Sri Lankan off-spinner Dhananjaya De Silva tops the list with an economy rate of 3.00 in the three T20I he has played in this calendar year. Pakistan’s Mohammad Amir, who made a comeback earlier this takes the second spot with an economy of 3.25 in the one matches he has featured so far.
