We are almost approaching the end of this year, and like all the years, 2017 was a memorable one for several cricketers who produced some brilliant performances over the course of this calendar year to win recognition for their country. This year we have seen some fantastic display of batting in Test cricket be it patiently building an innings and batting for long hours to hammering the balls and scoring quick runs.

Hitting sixes on a consistent basis in an unusual scene in Test cricket; however, batsmen have changed their techniques over the years and are not afraid to step out in the longer formats.
New Zealand all-rounder Collin De Grandhomme leads the list of batsmen who have hit the most number of sixes in Test cricket with 15 towering sixes from 6 matches in this calendar year. India’s Ravindra Jadeja, who has become a Test cricket specialist over the years is known for hard-hitting capabilities down the order finds himself in the second spot with 13 sixes from 10 matches.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya, who made his debut earlier this year with Sri Lanka series also finds himself on the list with ten sixes from 3 matches. In the three matches he has played so far, he has shown the capability of immense power hitting as he slammed the Sri Lankan bowlers out of the park with ease.
Australia’s Mitchell Starc is a surprise inclusion in this list as he hardly gets to bat in a tight packed Aussie batting line-up. He features fifth on the list with an equal number of sixes as Pandya but from 6 matches.
