Who can forget the scintillating display of fast bowling by Wahab Riaz against Australians in the ICC World Cup 2015? It was an incredible spell and will always remain close to the cricket fanatics heart. But, sadly, that was the only case where Riaz has proved his worth for Pakistan, as his graph in international cricket has hit down.
The focus is on PSL now – Wahab
Surprisingly, Wahab Riaz is doing exceptionally well in the franchise cricket across the world in the meantime. Apart from improving his bowling, he has recently batted at the top of the order in Natwest T20 Blast as well.
The premium fast bowler quoted he is looking the upcoming PSL 4 season, as the platform to attract the eyes of selectors for the 2019 World Cup. Though it is a franchise cricket, Wahab Riaz feels his performances will get the exposure.

Further, Wahab quoted he has performed across the globe since his ouster from the national team. He concluded it by saying he will keep on improving and perform better to get back his place.
“I’m focusing on PSL season four although it is franchise cricket, as a professional I have to come up with the goods whenever I’m on the field,” he told Cricket Pakistan. It is another opportunity before the World Cup so I’m looking forward to it. I want to regain the attention of the selectors that I am ready and available for the World Cup,” he quoted.
I want to regain the attention of the selectors – Wahab Riaz

“When I was out of Pakistan team, I only played white-ball cricket which includes Caribbean Premier League, county cricket, Pakistan Super League and T10 League and my performances there are in front of everyone. Throughout that period I performed well and will continue to improve whenever I get the opportunity,” he added.
Well, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for Wahab Riaz in the upcoming edition of PSL 4. As of now, Pakistan is relying their trust on the young fast bowlers, who are delivering the goods on a regular basis.
