A surprise pick as a replacement for Vijay Shankar in the second half of World Cup 2019, Mayank is yet to make his debut in white-ball cricket. He was expected to be named for Asia Cup 2018 after Virat Kohli was rested but was ignored.

Mayank has been doing well across formats and holds a strong chance to make it to the ODI squad, again. He recently scored a century in Deodhar Trophy fixture as well. In 79 List A matches, Mayank has scored 3869 runs at 50.90.
